Welcome to the Counseling Web Site

Who We Are:

Students face both academic and personal issues while at Lees-McRae.  Sometimes, personal issues become intense and may interfere with school performance and personal happiness.  Our center provides a place for students to talk about personal problems and concerns.  Additionally, staff members provide outreach and present programs on campus on topics such as healthy relationships, stress management, body image, the power of one, and conflict resolution.

If you think you would benefit from counseling, you are not alone.  Each year approximately 10% of the student body makes use of the Counseling Center.

The Counseling Center is staffed by a licensed counselor and graduate interns who specialize in treatment of many issues affecting college students today.

To find out more about the Counseling Center, please call us at (828) 898-8841 or visit our office at The McRae House, the tan house next to Tennessee Residence Hall.
